A taste of real France |
14 Garrick Street Covent Garden London, London WC2E 9BJ +44 20 7379 1432 |
A popular dining spot for tourists, businessmen and theatregoers, this is a small plot of France in the heart of Covent Garden. The bare brick walls are covered by a few prints of stereotypical French foodstuffs escargots, champignons for example while the place is divided into a series of small, intimate dining rooms. The simplicity of the décor is reflected in the menu, which comprises traditional dishes like coq au vin and chateaubriand along with a number of other meat and fish dishes. The full French cheeseboard could almost constitute a meal in itself. If you're not in a hurry to get to the theatre, why not wander downstairs to the wonderful cellar wine bar.
