During the London Bach Festival, Bach is performed in a period setting, using resources which would have been familiar to JS Bach himself. Both devotees and newcomers are made welcome at this friendly event. The London Bach Society dates from 1936, and it has been staging this annual event for 11 years now, with most years emphasising a particular period in the composer's life.
