Located at the southern end of Portobello Road, Marnie's is a small cafe that creates an almost palpable atmosphere of friendly relaxation. The staff are affable and attentive. The menu is extensive but mainly vegetarian - veggie dishes account for 95 per cent of Marnie's offerings. Choose from the menu of patties, filo pies, pastas, salads, lentil dishes and home-made cakes. Half portions are also available for those with smaller appetites. The terrace at the rear is ideal for alfresco dining, and is quiet except on market days when it is deservedly packed with both locals and tourists. It's a great place for a quick and simple lunch.
