Marriot Grosvenor House

Historic hotel with award-winning restaurant
86-90 Park Lane
London, London W1K 7TN

Originally the London home of Richard, the first Earl of Grosvenor in 1732, a man famous for his large collection of art and for hosting lavish, glittering parties for Royal and aristocratic families the world over. It was in 1927 that the Grosvenor house first became a hotel, however - a time when Park Lane was still no more than a quiet country lane. Today the hotel is one of London's most exclusive addresses, with the spacious rooms decked out in an modern style, but one that still preserves their Edwardian elegance. Grosvenor House is currently undergoing a multi million pound restoration, which comprises renovations to parts of the interior and exterior of the hotel. Completion is scheduled for summer 2007.
