Weekend lunch venue |
169 Battersea Park Road Battersea London, London SW8 4BT +44 20 7622 2007 |
The Mason's Arms was one of the original wooden floorboard-style gastro-pubs. Its a great venue for lazy Sunday dining, with a few of the Sunday papers and some good company to ease you through the day, so its not surprising that it gets incredibly busy - arrive at noon on the dot to secure a table for lunch. The food is usually excellent and the chef is inventive and not afraid of trying out new combinations. Risotto, burgers, and even ostrich feature on the menu. A popular side-dish are the Big Chips - served with a spicy sauce. Round off your meal with one of the well-chosen wines, or just let the Guinness and Bloody Marys flow freely.
