Step into the modern interiors of Mezzanine, situated within the Royal National Theatre in London's South Bank area before a show. Why? Well, the seasonal, pre-theatre menu has the likes of cassoulet and Louisiana prawn gumbo that can be shared with your date at reasonable prices. Should you decide to make this an after-programme meal spot, you will find yourself feasting on a variety of contemporary European dishes. The venue may lack any theatrical jinks, but seems to be a good spot if you've had enough of experimental cooking and would like a taste of the local fare.
