Mildred's is an informal, trendy vegetarian restaurant in Soho, with an intimate air and a popular following. Fifties diner-style Formica furniture and a colorfully naive adornment of paintings on the walls rustle up a friendly atmosphere where relaxed, yet attentive staff await or advise on your order. Healthy and wholesome, the inspired variety of international veggie and vegan dishes in hearty portions will keep you coming back. The energizing detox salad with chick peas, bean sprouts, organic carrot and raisins is deliciously filling and fueling, and bruschetta piled high with mozzarella, tomato and artichoke is another mouth-watering main. Veggie burgers alternate between the likes of black olive and white bean. The menu also features rejuvenating juices such as watermelon, pineapple and pear. As lunch hour looms, the restaurant becomes squashed with Soho suits, so takeaway is an advisable option.
