Part of a chain found throughout the UK, this store is decorated with big bright prints of outdoor scenes, and filled with relaxing and uplifting music. Millet's sells torches, penknives, trousers, fleeces, waterproofs, bumbags, rucksacks, wallets, sleeping bags, tents and many other kinds of outdoor gear and gadgets. The sleeping bags start from under £20, and there are plenty of good deals to be had throughout the store and items can be reduced by up to 70 per cent. The footwear stocked upstairs is mainly meant for fashion, although there are some boots that should be able to stand up to rougher use.
