Lively local with a vaguely Irish theme |
107 Hammersmith Bridge Road Hammersmith London, London W6 9DA +44 20 8748 2359 |
The Old City Arms is a cosy riverside pub, which lies in the shadow of the ornate Hammersmith Bridge. Packed to the rafters on Boat Race Day, during the rest of the year The Old City Arms is a lively local with a supposedly Irish theme, although nothing more Irish than a good pint of Guinness and a mainly wooden interior is really in evidence. This is a pub that is best suited to winter days, as it has a pool table, sport on the TVs in every corner, and comfy seating throughout, but lacks benches or a garden for drinking in the sunshine. Typical pub grub is served at lunch and in the evening. A function room with a capacity of 150 is available for private hire. Review © 2009, Wcities |
