Every city must have an Orso among its dependable and central stalwarts. This buzzy yet intimate establishment, part of the group that includes Orsino, is a theatre crowd favourite. Unfortunately, the tables are a bit too close together, but the service is efficient and professional. The extensive wine list, rustic Italian decor and, of course, the constant buzz, mean that it translates into a perfect pre- or post-theatre venue. The menu changes daily and can include choices like Fried Courgette Flowers, pizzas, pastas, risottos and Seared Scallops. The Italian cuisine is delicious but not contrived.
