The River Café is the archetypal greasy-spoon, and is not to be confused with the top Italian eatery of the same name. The mouth-watering aromas coming from the kitchens might cause your arteries to start hardening the moment you enter. Don't let this put you off, however, for a triple-bypass will seem a small price to pay for the palliative powers that the fry-ups at this place have over even the most ferocious hangovers.
