Milder Malaysian food |
114 Seymour Place London, London W1H 1NN +44 20 7224 4454 |
Selasih serves good home-cooked Malaysian food that draws influences from Malay, Indian and Chinese traditions. All the national specialties are represented on the fairly large menu. Try the Singapore laksa noodle dish or the nasi lemak, a meal of rice cooked in coconut milk served with prawn sambal(a thick pasty curry), a fried egg and peanuts. The food is good though it seems that Selasih has toned the chilli content of many dishes. This is obviously good news for those with lower chilli tolerance levels but those who prefer their Malaysian food spicy will be slightly disappointed. The lunch express meals are great value for money. Selasih is also a good alternative if you can't get a table for dinner at Satay House. Review © 2009, Wcities |
