You must always be wary of mini-cabs hailed on the street; it is wise to stick to known companies or cab stands with long queues and a guy with a clipboard at the front of it. Addison Lee is one of the more reliable mini-cab companies.

Baker Street Emporium is a souvenir shop located near Madame Tussaud's and the Sherlock Holmes Museum. It is part of the Fancy That Of London chain, which has two other stores in the city. This branch is a replica of Sherlock Holmes' office, so even if shopping is not on your mind, you can come and check out the master detective in his study. You will find bags, toys, books, caps and showpieces here, so it is almost impossible for you to leave empty-handed. Make sure you hit the store at least once while in London; it is worth visiting.

Loads of stuff
Church Street
From Edgware Road to Lisson Grove
London, London NW8

This market dates back to the 1830s, when it only sold produce. Today the Edgware Road side sells simple everyday clothes (T-shirts, pyjamas, lingerie), DIY, and food. The Lisson Grove side is more stylish, with the famous Alfie's Antique Centre offering great antiques in all areas: jewellery, collectables, bags, vintage clothes and more. Stop by the well-known Sea Shell on Lisson Grove for a one of the best fish and chips in London.
