Popular with lovers of Indian cuisine and a vibrant, style-oriented atmosphere, here is a restaurant that combines aromatic Indian originals with cross-cultural innovation to outstandingly appetizing effect. With a name like Soho Spice, you'd expect funky, colourful decor, and it does follow a scheme of warm saffron, cumin and coriander colours to reflect the hue of an Indian summer Soho style, and staff wear matching hand-woven kurtas. On top of that though, you get authentic, fresh and contemporary, but not gimmicky, regional favourites. The kebabs, curries, tandoori and daal are all here, and come thali-style with the full set of accompaniments. Set menus change frequently, proving that variety has some part to play in the spice of life, but they are always enjoyed amid a positively piquant ambience, supplemented by DJs.
