Designed to look like a country Bed and Breakfast (rather bizarrely, given its location amongst the bars and restaurants of Old Brompton Road), the Swiss House is right in the heart of London, yet still offers great value for money. It's a comfortable, friendly place within easy reach of many sights and attractions including the Natural History Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum and Science Museum. Hotels are often rated according to the number of facilities they have (most of which you'll never use) and, whilst Swiss House Hotel won't win any prizes for having up-to-the-minute facilities, it is beautifully decorated with oak furnishings, and you're sure to get a friendly welcome from the owners.
