Holder of the Queen Mother's royal warrant and member of the John Lewis Partnership, Waitrose combines unpretentious quality and class at reasonable prices. Alongside the standard supermarket fare are a patisserie, a wide variety of breads from around the world, a delicatessen, a hot food counter, a cheese counter, a meat and fish counter and an exceptional wine range (Waitrose has won the world-wide Wine Supermarket of the Year award for the last two years). In these environmentally aware times, it is also worthy of note that Waitrose are the 1999 Organic Foods Supermarket of the Year, and this branch stocks a suitably large organic range.
