Founded in 1967, The American Cetacean Society does admirable work. It works for the conservation of cetaceans, which include whales, dolphins and porpoises. It also works towards the preservation of their environment. This non-profit organization conducts several workshops to increase awareness among the general public. It is sponsored by various research grants and conducts several activities on a regular basis. If you're a sea or an animal lover, this is definitely worth checking out.
