Canele in Atwater Village is a typical neighborhood joint—if you live in France that is! Brick walls, simple wooden furniture and a menu chalked up on a blackboard make up the charming interiors here (albeit you have to crane your neck to read the menu!). Friendly and warm, dishes like roast pork loin, shrimp paella, flan and more are served out of the cute open kitchen. This place may skimp on their portions, but the ambiance is definitely at a high.
