Casa de Sousa is a great shop that carries Mexican and Central American folk art. It is the oldest family-run Mexican art shop in Los Angeles and also includes the Galleria Sister Karen Boccalero which features paintings of the Lady of Guadalupe. This shop is also the only place on Olvera Street where you can get a cappuccino, and a good one at that.
