Since the 1950s, this museum has served southern California as a great place to see both local and national art with an emphasis on California artists. They have the country's second-largest collection of Los Angeles artist Boris Deutsch's work (the largest is in New York's Museum of Modern Art). This is also the only major art museum located between downtown Los Angeles and Long Beach. Definitely worth a visit. Admission is free.
