This international chain has many locations around the Southland. This is by the beach in Venice near the boardwalk action. Founded in 1965, its proximity to Muscle Beach made it the center of the bodybuilding craze that began in the 1970s. The facilities include weight machines, free weights, cardiovascular equipment, aerobic classes, martial arts classes, personal trainers, yoga classes, and massage therapy. Other locations include Hollywood, North Hollywood, Redondo Beach, Long Beach, Simi Valley, Northridge and Thousand Oaks.
