This is a typical Venice hole-in-the-wall turned into a place loaded with character. The facade is artistically painted and there are palm fronds out front. Walk through the double screened doors and you'll find a warehouse filled with bins of 5-pound bags of coffee in many interesting blends. By the cup, the cafe offers a mellow organic blend as well as Kona and Colombian blends. Super cheap, a 12-ounce cup costs only $1.25. You can also get cookies and smoothies, but coffee is the main draw. Regulars like to sit outside on the sidewalk benches and watch the Rose Avenue traffic go by. Review © 2009, Wcities |
