Formerly Long Beach Municipal Airport, Long Beach Airport (LBA) handles air traffic primarily to and from the Orange and Los Angeles counties. Though considerably less busy than Los Angeles International Airport, LBA is a boon to the city; spread over 1,166 acres, it features one long and four short runways, nine taxiways, and one terminal. Thanks to the efforts of Long Beach residents, it is subject to strict noise regulations that restrict air traffic to 25 commuter and 41 commercial flights per day.
