Operating out of the Port of L.A. in San Pedro, this tour company has four different reasonably priced cruises. Its most popular one is a whale-watching expedition, which only runs from late December through mid-April. The other three operate year-round and include the one-hour L.A. harbor cruise, the 90-minute L.A. harbor and Long Beach harbor cruise, and the two hour coastline cruise, which goes north around the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The latter is a great way to see the largely inaccessible peninsula, offering views of its rocky beaches, sheer cliffs and sprawling oceanfront estates. The whale-watching tours, which seek out the migrating gray whales, are almost guaranteed sightings of whales, as well as other marine mammals and other sea creatures.
