Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus hit it right on the money when they decided to combine ABBA, one of the best pop groups ever, with a sensational, light-hearted story and created one of the most famous and successful to ever hit the stage. MAMMA MIA!, based on the book by Catherine Johnson, takes place on a small island in Greece. There resides a twenty year-old Sophie Sheridan, played by Bekah Nutt, who is about to get married to Sky (Robert Adelman Hancock) and have her dream wedding with her father walking down the aisle. Sophie's quest to discover the identity of her father brings them together and forces them, and her mother, to face their pasts back to the island they last visited 20 years ago. It's ABBA's greatest hits woven into three wonderful love stories: a young girl about to be married; her mother about to confront the past; and the best love story of all - the audience about to jump out of their seats with joy!
