Located in the beautiful hills of Malibu in the Santa Monica Mountains, this temple is also known as the Malibu Temple. Run by the Hindu Temple Society of Southern California, it is built in the traditional Indian style, and also contains several outdoor shrines to Hindu deities. This temple is considered by many to be one of the largest and most authentic Hindu temples in the western hemisphere. Visitors are welcome during the hours listed below. Because this is a place of worship, the dress code does not allow shorts. Admission is free, but public donations are always welcome. Review © 2009, Wcities |
