Look for the hand painted wooden sign off Topanga Cyn Blvd. The Theatricum is a rustic, quaint, yet comfortable theatre hidden in the mountains of Topanga. Year-round it has performances and an actor and playwright studio. When you first arrive it feels like summer camp, until you see the cabin-esque Hamlet Hut (concession stand). The main theatre, like a wide draw-bridge, traverses a dry creek bed. The seats are built into the canyon wall and shows play under stars, the moon, oak trees, and strong smelling eucalyptus.
