Los Angeles |
Home to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), Westwood was originally carved from a farm in the early 1900s. Residents of Westwood frequent the movie theaters for entertainment, and there are several vintage theaters in the area just to cater to their needs. Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery is where many of Hollywood's biggest stars are laid to rest. Housing in Westwood, as in much of Los Angeles, is extremely expensive. Some of the wealthiest residents, who are primarily of European and Iranian descent, live in the well-to-do neighborhood of Holmby Hills, just bordering Westwood. Review © 2009, Wcities |
