This store and line of clothing was started in 1991 with the Beastie Boys' Mike Diamond as one of its founders. It exploded as a major cultural force among hip young Los Angelenos and has since spread all over the world with stores in places like New York and Tokyo. The clothing is always ultra hip and modern, and appeals to club kids and other trendsetters. Next door to this shop, there is now a spinoff store called X-Girl.
