This is one of the city's best known and most stylish restaurants, and has been since 1839. The bar serves delicious croquettes each and warming soups in winter. The old-fashioned dining room has a varied menu. One of the house specials is cocido madrileño (a hearty stew of broth, chickpeas and various meats) for EUR 24.04.
