Modern and welcoming, Barajas Airport is one of the busiest in Europe. One of the main gateways to South American cities, it is located just 8 miles outside Madrid and well-connected to the city centre by bus and tube. Long-term parking facilities consist of an outdoor & indoor car park. A free shuttle bus service provides passengers with convenient transportation between the three terminals. There are several bars and cafés, and the restaurants offer hot food and snacks: buffet-type "El Pardo", "El Retiro", and "El Madroño", with top Spanish cuisine and an a la carte menu, "El Trébol", with a café, self-service restaurant and grill as well as a buffet service. Go for the café for great views of the runaway. VIP lounges are available in all three terminals of the airport. Terminals T1 and T2 have conference and meeting rooms. Visit the Exhibition Hall as well, to relax amongst works of art. There is a free play area for children up to 6 years old in Boarding Area C, and it opens between 8a and 8p daily. Facilities for babies such as cots, baths and changing rooms are also available. All major airlines are served. Review © 2009, Wcities |
