Traveling by train in Spain can be affordable. New lines of the AVE (Tren de Alta Velocidad) are inaugrated, to unite Madrid with Barcelona and Valencia. Currently RENFE (Red Nacional de los Ferrocarriles Españoles) counts on commuter trains, for long distances (more than 400 kilometers), such as the Euromed, the Intercity, the Tren Estrella, the Talgo with the AVE Madrid-Seville. Also, there are special tourist offerings for those visiting the city. The two main stations of Madrid are Atocha (to the south) and Chamartín (to the north). Review © 2009, Wcities |
