An ideal venue for a romantic evening out, you'll find this enchanting Indonesian restaurant just off Gran Vía. The atmospheric candle-lit interior is attractively decorated with Oriental furniture, mirrors and colourful batiks. The house speciality is an unpronounceable rice dish Rijsstafel that comes served on a grill-platter heated from below by candles. Other worthwhile choices from the menu are chicken satay with peanut sauce and the special rice sampler platter for two. The prices are very reasonable. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Pioneering Korean grill |
Calle de Panamá 4 Madrid, Madrid 28036 Spain +34 91 457 8833 |
You will find this Korean restaurant located in basement premises in the heart of the business district, close to Paseo de la Castellana. It is a welcome addition to the capital's restaurant scene, as it brings more variety to the somewhat limited range of ethnic cuisines available. It was the first to offer dishes like Jelly Fish with Vegetables or Bulgoki Beef, for example. Grilled meats are the speciality and you can see them being cooked in the open-plan kitchen. If you can't make up your mind from the choices on the menu, try the special sampler meal for EUR15.02. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Filipino and Japanese cuisines |
Paseo de la Castellana, 172 Madrid, Madrid 28046 Spain +34 91 359 1040 |
Make a special request, when you book in advance for a Teppanyaki Grill at your table, if you want to be entertained and learn about Japanese cooking at the same time as you eat. The chef will then come and cook thin slices of beef or chunks of lobster right in front of your eyes. The kitchen prepares excellent sushi and sashimi in addition to its range of delicious Filipino dishes (the owners are from the Philippine Islands). Try the speciality - Misono. If you can't decide, order one of the sample menus and you'll get a taste of the best on offer. You may as well stick to Japanese beer for drink. It's a spacious restaurant decorated in simple Oriental style that's been in business for 25 years. Review © 2007, Wcities |
