The place has 165 folders that contain the most varied subjects, from aerial views of towns and cities to landscapes and maps from the 15th to the 18th century. As for the manuals, an ample range of history titles, literature, trips, novels and more are offered. Although the volumes include English and German titles, most of the books are in Spanish. This place isn't renovated, but has old engravings and charts on its walls and contains some very old books.

The extensive bookstore, dedicated to medicine is entirely in Spanish. In fact, through their website there exists a huge clientele from Latin American cities, for distribution and editorials. If the edition that you need is not found, order it anyways because the well-read employees will help you. Besides books, medical equipment is also offered. Opened in 1961, it is presumed to be one of the most important bookstores within the medical sector. Located in an important university zone, in the surroundings of the district of Moncloa, it's the students who flock to the store though many professionals of the medical fraternity are also spotted.

You can spend an enjoyable Sunday morning browsing among all the stalls on this famous street for old books or discounted new publications. It's a book market whose outdoor stalls remain open all year round and it's named after Claudio Moyano, a politician who reformed the Spanish educational system between 1840 and 1843. The stalls line one of the outside walls of the Botanical Gardens, so you're close to other interesting attractions like Prado Museum, Retiro Park and another fascinating outdoor street market, El Rastro.
