Native food |
Alcalde Sáinz de Baranda, 11 Madrid 28009 Spain +34 91 5738265 |
This small establishment is an authentic shop for traditional, typical food and agricultural produce of Madrid—a majority of them being from the place of origin. The shelves display vegetables to preserves, cheeses of Campo Real, beans from Montejo de la Sierra, frothy wines from Colmenar de Oreja and oil from Villarejo de Salvanés. The place takes care of the demands of the public according to the time of the year. Thus, when Christmas arrives, expect to find chulapones—a typical sweet, marzipan from Morata de Tajuña or Polvorones (cookies) of Cadalso de los Vidrios. Additionally, the decoration consists of yellow walls, white and red motives and a pretty tiled placard. Review © 2007, Wcities |
