If you want to get around on public transport in the city, this is the place to come. Helpline staff can provide bus, train and metrolink timetable information for the entire Greater Manchester travel network. They are also able to give up-to-date fare information and can answer any general local transportation queries you might have.

+44 (0)161 228 7811 The city centre's main bus depot is run by the Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive (GMPTE) and is located centrally in Piccadilly Gardens. From here you can catch buses to most outlying areas of Manchester. Individual bus companies set their own times and fares, but buses run from very early in the morning to well into the evening. The Travelshop in the bus station can provide tickets and times for all services and the Metrolink also stops here.

Covering the vast majority of routes around the city, as well as running a number of services out of Manchester to outlying towns, they can be boarded at most stops or at main Manchester bus stations and termini.
