2435 Ka'anapali Pkwy, Bldg L-4 (Whaler's Village Shopping Ctr) Maui and Molokai, HI 96761 United States +1 808 667 0399 http://www.coach.com |
The Coach shop has a soothing atmosphere compared to many of the other designer boutiques in Whaler's Village. The interior is decorated in warm earth tones, and sales people are friendly and helpful. The shop itself is fairly small, apparently not sharing its fashionable neighbors' opinion that designer boutiques should look like vast, cold museums of modern art. You'll find a decent selection of bags, watches and jewelry by the famous designer. As with all such shops, prices are high, but so is the quality. Review © 2007, Wcities |

This sizeable store promotes one of the world's most useful and controversial plants. It's spacious and upscale; its merchandise ranges from utilitarian to educational to flat-out comical. Bath and body products are made of hemp; T-shirts and backpacks simply bear the symbol of it. Informational flyers are available; just ask the friendly staff. Bolts of fabric are as prevalent as factory-made garments at this local clothing store. The clothes are authentic Hawaiian: aloha shirts, muumuus and more. Little tiny baby muumuus and aloha shirts are also on display. Women's shoes dominate the racks at the entrance to the store. Besides clothing, the store sells a variety of other house and homewares, ranging from flatware to calendars to ukuleles. Quite a bit of hardware is displayed in the back. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Offering a variety of souvenirs |
Ala Malama P.O. Box 828 Maui and Molokai, HI 96748 United States +1 808 553 5734 |
This attractive gift shop is located next to the town grocery store. A new-ish paint job and a decent window display sets it apart from most of the neighboring stores. The wares are standard for any island souvenir store. You'll find T-shirts, straw hats, casual resort wear, woven baskets and gift cards. When in doubt about what to buy, go for one of the Aloha shirts. They're more authentic than most of the styles found in Honolulu or Maui, and you'll see local men in them every day. Expansive and polished to perfection, this Whaler's Village boutique is a mini-museum devoted to all things Vuitton. You'll find the newest collections of handbags, wallets, luggage and shoes inside, as well as a limited line of clothing. If you are familiar with the upscale atmosphere found in designer shops, you'll be comfortable here. Otherwise, a boutique like this one can be somewhat intimidating. Ala Malama Street P.O. Box 576 Maui and Molokai, HI 96748 United States +1 808 553 5926 |
It's easy to find this store because it's spacious and modern, unlike many of its sleepy-looking downtown neighbors. Located on the two-block strip of Kaunakakai that constitutes the center of town, the store gets plenty of foot traffic from tourists staying at the hotel or visiting by boat. The store sells resort and tropical fashions for women and children. Sarongs, swimsuits and hand-painted separates are for sale. Also available are skin products and jewelry. Other souvenirs can be found at its adjacent sister store, Molokai Fish & Dive. Review © 2007, Wcities |

300 Ma'alaea Rd, Ste 104 (Ma'alaea Harbor Village) Maui and Molokai, HI 96793 United States +1 808 243 9577 http://www.moonbowtropics.com |
This location of Moonbow Tropics operates on the same philosophy as the other four stores, which are located in Paia Town: Offer quality merchandise by authentic, established manufacturers then back it up with a flawless presentation and a friendly, professional staff. It all works. This store is one of the most popular retailers in the brand-new Ma'alaea Harbor Village. The upscale resort-wear suits sophisticated island residents and in-the-know tourists: it's tropical yet still quite stylish. Everything from swimsuits to neckties is for sale. Elegant Aloha Wear Sold Here |
1945 South Kihei Road (Kihei Kalama Village) Maui and Molokai, HI 96753 United States +1 808 874 8471 http://www.serendipitymaui.com |
Anyone who thinks that Aloha wear has to be cheesy should stop by this store for an attitude adjustment. Beautiful batik prints and striking silver jewelry adorn the mannequins and the shelves. The clothes are made in Bali for the most part, out of natural rayon made from tree fiber. The clothes are perfect for the tropics: the bright colors go along with the sunny atmosphere, while the unique fabric allows the air to circulate and cool off the wearer. Two seven-foot-tall wooden cats guard the store from one side, while two equally tall giraffes man the door on the other side. These interesting carved creatures also hail from Bali. They are made of bielalau wood; yes, they are for sale, and yes, they are expensive. Review © 2007, Wcities |
