The island of Maui is pleased to welcome 'Ulalena, a unique musical celebration of Hawaii's cultural heritage. The performance is held at the newly constructed Maui Myth & Magic Theatre. The fantastic, multi-million dollar venue was built with 'Ulalena in mind. The concept behind the show is to "explore relationships between people, nature and mythology." Top-notch entertainment and perfectly prepared cuisine make this a premiere Maui attraction. A little island history: Lahaina used to be known as Lele. In those long-ago days, gala royal feasts were held along the beach. They featured the best food, music and dance of the island. This is a reconstruction of the ancient royal celebrations. Executive Chef James McDonald presents a mouth-watering array of specialties representing all the regions of Polynesia. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Loud and local |
355 E Kamehameha Blvd Maui and Molokai, HI 96732 United States +1 808 877 9001 http://www.alehouse.net/ |
If Kihei and Lahaina seem a bit touristy, head over to this place for a dose of island-style entertainment. When you walk in the door, you're instantly given the once-over by dozens of lounging, drinking locals. Weave your way in between barstools, pool tables and dart games to the closest empty table. Once there, settle in for killer brews and deliciously greasy bar food. On weeknights, karaoke is the big thing. Speakers are rigged up all over the restaurant, and brave, drunken souls belt out the faves with a great deal of enthusiasm and only the slightest regard for accuracy. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Tourists and locals alike return to this oceanfront landmark in central Lahaina. Sit on the lanai, sip cocktails and look out on the Pacific. The prime rib is savory and tender, and on the lighter side there are four to five fresh fish offerings daily. Be sure to save room for the Hula Pie, made from a chocolate wafer crust, macadamia nut ice cream, chocolate fudge and whipped cream. Live Hawaiian music is featured. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Local Pick for Food, Drinks and Ambience |
180 Dickenson St. Maui and Molokai, HI 96761 United States +1 808 661 7082 http://www.lahainacoolers.com/ |
Locals have loved this place for nearly 15 years. It attracts Lahaina's young, hip set—you can find them here at all hours. This is perhaps the most colorful local bar and grill in a town that's full of them. Located a block from Lahaina's main drag, it is easy to find. Just look for a crowded open patio facing Dickenson Street. One of the reasons for the popularity of the eatery is Chef Will Munder. He offers an eclectic menu featuring fish tacos, island fish salads, and wonderful vegetarian and vegan dishes. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Beachfront bar |
1913 S Kihei Rd Maui and Molokai, HI 96753 United States +1 808 891 8010 http://mauibands.com/lab.html |
This shop is located just across the street from Kihei's popular Kamaole Beach Park. You can literally wander in wearing a swimsuit and flip-flops. Chances are, you'll fit right in. There is a fairly extensive menu of specialty cocktails and alcohol-free juices. The burgers are delicious, if a little pricey considering the beach-shack atmosphere. But the live music is really the key here. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Local hotspot |
844 Front Street Maui and Molokai, HI 96761 United States +1 808 667 7758 http://www.maui.net/~mooses/ |
A mixed crowd of locals and tourists frequents the establishment, downing drinks and dirty dancing on the crowded dance floor. In the daytime it does double-duty as a family-style bar and grill. Come on up for a burger and a cocktail, or wait until evening and join the party. Happy Hour is 3pm-6pm daily, but there are drink specials every night of the week. Take advantage of dollar drinks on Wednesday nights after 9:30pm. Be prepared for a long line if you arrive after 9pm. Review © 2007, Wcities |

This restaurant is located in the courtyard of a downtown Lahaina landmark. The Inn (P.I. to locals) was the only hotel in Lahaina for a long time and is currently a comfortable Best Western property. Fusion-influenced cuisine and fruity drinks are served in a tropical garden setting. The menu features fresh local seafood and produce. Graze on Kula green salad and spring rolls, or go for a heartier choice such as the Fettuccine with Scallops and Mussels. Review © 2007, Wcities |

2525 Ka'anapali Parkway Ka'anapali Beach Hotel Maui and Molokai, HI 96761 United States +1 808 661 0011 http://www.kbhmaui.com/dining/... |
While this bar is a fun hangout spot during the daytime, it becomes truly atmospheric in the evenings. A multitude of candles and lights add their glow to the dusk as the sun wanes. Live entertainers begin to tune their instruments on the stage. The temperature drops, and the energy becomes more festive. People who shun alcohol and food during the daytime might find it a little easier after sunset. This place offers a selection of tasty treats and creative blended drinks. Review © 2007, Wcities |
