For little equestrians |
Beaconsfield Parade St Kilda Melbourne, VIC 3182 Australia |
If your child is going through the 'wanna ride on a pony' stage, this might be a good place to see how they like it, before you sign up for serious lessons. The pony rides have been a fixture in St Kilda's Catani Gardens for many years so the animals are gentle with their little riders. Children under 10 will probably get the most enjoyment out of it, but there is plenty for the rest of the family to do along the St Kilda foreshore area. Admission: Ride only AUD2; ride and photo AUD7. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Gunnamatta Trail Rides' professional friendly staff can guide you on rides ranging from one hour to a full day. Their exciting rides will give you an intimate view of the Mornington Peninsula's diverse landscape from picturesque farms, orchards and rural retreats, to the spectacular coastal scenery. The easy ride to T'Gallant Winery takes 2 1/2 hours. The cost of AUD55 per person includes the ride, a tasting of T'Gallants wines, and a barbeque lunch at Cressbrook by the Lake. For those who do not ride, two magnificent Clydesdale horses draw a replica vintage tram. The tram takes 10-12 passengers. They also offer a Devonshire tea ride to Sunnyridge Strawberry farm, or a Lakeside Lunch ride to Cressbrook. The more adventurous can try an overnight ride to historic Flinders Hotel, or the Outlook ride with incredible views over beautiful farmland to Westernport Bay and Bass Strait. Please telephone for midweek specials, and information on school and group concessions. Cottage accommodation is also available. Review © 2007, Wcities |
