This shop could hardly contrast more with some of the slick, high-concept retail palaces that pass for sports stores in this town. It is cluttered, jumbled and filled with inexpensive, practical items that pay little attention to fashion but promise to last in the great outdoors. Army surplus clothing, tents, fishing gear, sturdy boots, backpacks, Swiss Army knives and the like have been the stock in trade of this store for many years, and purchases come with handy advice from the sales staff.
