Collette Dinnigan's Melbourne store is simple, with wooden floorboards and large gilt-framed mirrors. Her clothes are made from luxury fabrics--sheers, laces and jerseys--and are figure hugging yet flattering to a range of figures and age groups. Simple, sophisticated garments are beaded and sequinned for evening. Special occasion lingerie and resort wear also feature. Collette has achieved worldwide recognition after being the first Australian-based designer to mount a full scale ready-to-wear parade in Paris.
