Something of a local institution, this store stocks a range of affordable, down-to-earth men's casual wear as well as shirts and ties. It is perhaps best known however, for being one of the widest stockists of school uniforms and school shoes, meaning that many Melbourne residents have unhappy memories of being dragged in to be fitted up at the start of term-time! No matter what their children think, it is easy to see why Dobson's remains such a favourite with parents--attentive old-fashioned service and a low price range of shirts, jackets, slacks, shorts and socks.
