After many successful years in the city, Ruby Red is enlivening this quiet patch of Abbotsford. On Fridays and Saturdays swing music bands create a lively atmosphere. To really get into the groove, take swing, jive or west coast lessons upstairs. A scheme pioneered by Ruby Red and DEAC (Disabled Employment Action Centre) helps to train disadvantaged youngsters in culinary skills. The creative Asian/Italian inspired menu has captured the steady lunchtime clientele. Antipasto or the charred artichokes, baked garlic and paprika, make good starters. The mains have a definite Japanese influence. House wine and beer and basic spirits are available.
