The roomy aisles wind among the various vendors' areas in this sprawling market selling antiques and reproductions. Huge mall with 170+ dealers |
3400 Summer Avenue (1 block west of North Highland) Memphis, TN 38122 United States +1 901 323 2050 |
This 40,000 square foot antique mall is located on the slightly seedy Summer Avenue strip on the north side of Memphis, which may account for the fact that the prices here are more reasonable than those at some of the antique shops in trendier areas such as midtown. More than 170 independent dealers operate booths in this mall, guaranteeing that you will find an eclectic array of every conceivable type of antique and collectible, from furniture to pottery, fine jewelry to bric-a-brac and knick-knacks. Look particularly for southern memorabilia such as Coca-Cola promotional items or relics from Memphis' music history. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Treasure hunter's delight |
3457 Summer Avenue Memphis, TN 38122 United States +1 901 452 5620 |
A long narrow shop in an old strip mall, this is the kind of place for treasure hunters to spend an afternoon. No particular theme can be discerned for most of the booths; any sort of antique might be found. A lot of furniture, old photographs and prints, and a few small tapestries can be found. Several booth spaces have religious prints . One display cabinet features a collection of swords; others have folding cameras dating back to the early twentieth century. Although the shop is not brightly lit, it has roomy enough aisles to move about and get a good look at the merchandise. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Wrought-iron tables |
2281 Central Avenue (At Landis) Memphis, TN 38104 United States +1 901 274 1515 |
This shop on the Central/Midtown antiques corridor specializes in items for the garden, although many of them would be charming additions to an interior room, as well. Classic wrought-iron garden furniture takes center stage, but you will enjoy browsing the architectural elements: from tiny accent pieces to arches and trellises intended for a large country garden. The statues, ornate planters, and fountains would look elegant under a tree or welcoming guests in your foyer. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Antiques and cats |
102 East Mulberry Street Memphis, TN 38017 United States +1 901 853 3170 |
This shop really does have antiques from England. And even if you don't plan on buying anything, it's fun to look at the cricket balls (antique and new), stained glass windows and heavy English pine furniture. Other items might include a cast iron dragon, possibly from a pub or crew oars dating back to the 1920s. Something more practical for travelers to take home would be the estate jewelry. Cat fans will love the half-dozen or so cats that freely roam the shop. Since 1985 the owner, Judy Davis, has taken in strays who now make the shop their home. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Art, antiques and more |
4615 Poplar Avenue Memphis, TN 38117 United States +1 901 685 3200 |
Although a sign on the door tells you this charming shop sells antiques, check out the art work, too. The antiques are just a small collection of furniture in a variety of eras, styles and functions. It's the artwork that makes this place worth a visit. Most is in the primitive or folk art genre and is delightful. Clay sculptures, as small as a pack of playing cards, to oil paintings large enough to dominate an entire wall are intriguing. Much of the art has a religious theme. Review © 2007, Wcities |
