Flowers and much more |
128 Mulberry Street Memphis, TN 38017 United States +1 901 853 2301 |
This shop is more than just an average flower shop. There is a full-service floral shop in the back of the store where you can order live plants and bouquets, or buy individual rosebuds or other flowers by the stem. But the front of the store houses an interesting array of gifts. In addition to dried flower arrangements and wreaths, you will find collectible enamel boxes in the shape of miniature purses and teapots. There are Indian-style boxes and lanterns. A beautiful collection of handmade jewelery, wind chimes, hand-painted plates are also available. Additionally, there is a selection of decorative silver crosses and shelves full of stuffed animals by Gund. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Everything from junk to treasures |
438 North Cleveland Avenue (North of Poplar) Memphis, TN 38104 United States +1 901 276 3333 |
Plan to spend several hours browsing through the stalls and aisles of this permanent "flea market." There is no telling what you'll find in the trays of old jewelry, the stacks of bright crockery and the collections of old cameras, watches and kitchen implements. Treasures lurk in, on and under the shelves, tables, and stands full of all kinds of items salvaged from someone's attic or garage. Whatever you collect, you're likely to find one here, whether it is figures from Occupied Japan, trading cards from your youth or the perfect picture for that difficult spot on the staircase wall. Open weekends only. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Gifts, antiques and garden accessories |
619 South Cooper Memphis, TN 38104 United States +1 901 274 0700 |
On a cold winter afternoon, this old house converted into a gift shop is a great place to drop in and shop by the warmth of the double fireplace. You will find a few antiques, but mainly gift and garden accessory items. Sun catchers shine in the windows, hand-woven baskets are filled with silk flowers and ornaments. You will find an assortment of picture frames, metal works by local artists, mixed media art and garden accessories. The shop is easy to miss, so look closely and park in front off the street. Two thousand booths |
955 Early Maxwell Boulevard (Mid-South Fairgrounds) Memphis, TN 38104 United States +1 901 276 8086 |
Held on the third weekend of each month at Mid-South Coliseum and the Mid-South Fairgrounds, this market draws crowds of bargain seekers. Individual vendors sell everything from old magazines to handmade, one-of-a-kind pieces of fine furniture. There is as much new merchandise here as there is old. You have to hunt for the treasures, but if you're looking for vintage jewelry, inexpensive lawn and garden items or interesting crockery, you should have lots of fun. Bring cash and credit cards, because some of the dealers accept credit cards and others only accept cash. Review © 2007, Wcities |
