Now in great condition and at a fair price, Melrese is located adjacent to Maimi International Airport and accessible from all points. Golfers vote Melreese as a top course in Maimi not for its amenities, but for the caliber of golf provided, as many county championships are played there. Rolling northern style fairways predominate the beautiful 135 acre golf course. Large undulating greens average 6500 square feet. The greens are considered to be among the best putting surfaces in the area. Melrese has 97 bunkers, 4 waste bunkers, 6 acres of water and it has fairways with rolling hills and bunkers of pure white sand. Review © 2007, Wcities |

The Bonaventure East course is a classic Florida layout with holes routed through strands of mature palms and hardwoods, and around numerous water hazards and expansive bunkers. The prestigious Dixie Amateur Golf Tournament was hosted on this course, and golf superstars Tiger Woods and Sergio Garcia have tested their skills here. This course, designed by Joe Lee is also called the Green Monster . Some people call it the Cascade Course because of the waterfall on the picturesque 160-yard par 3 third. This signature hole has a waterfall that stretches across the front of the green. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Formerly known as "The Links at Key Biscayne" Crandon Park Golf Course is a championship 18-hole golf course located on the "island paradise" of Key Biscayne, just 10 minutes from downtown Miami. It is the only public course on the Bay. Designed in 1972 by Robert von Hagge and Bruce Devlin, and redesigned by von Hagge in 1993, the course features the world's largest tee, seven saltwater lakes, challenging sand traps, mangrove thickets, and many holes overlooking Biscayne Bay. The fairways are wide and generous, and the greens are large and medium speed. Water hazards (lakes, canals, and the bay) have been incorporated into the designs of over half the holes. "Golf Digest" chose the course 39th in the category of "Top 75 Public Courses" for 1990, and 62nd in the same category for 1996. It was also selected by the same publication as the 22nd "Best in State" course for 1997-98. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Conveniently located between Fort Lauderdale and Miami, this is a Joe Lee experience you don't want to miss. South Florida's only 5-Star golf facility is like golfing at the "Ritz". Nestled amongst hundreds of 50-year-old Coconut Palms, Royal Palms, Cuban Laurel, Gumbo Limbo, Bougainvillea and shady Banyan trees, it provides a peaceful escape for the golfer seeking a few hours of relaxing fun in the sun. Add to the mix prevailing Southeast crosswinds from the Intercoastal Waterway & Atlantic Ocean, beautiful finely crushed coquina rock, and rolling mounds and you've got a golfing test that not only captivates the eyes but the spirit as well. This is an old time celebrated course which has recently been renovated. With lakes guarding 16 of 18 holes, this course can be enjoyed by all skill levels. The greens vary in size, and they are well bunkered. In addition, the putting surfaces are tifteagle...the new Norman grass. That means that they're FAST! The 385 yard par four 2nd is the signature hole featuring a very challenging island green. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Don Shula's Golf Club is an oasis - a refuge from the stresses of everyday life, set in a relaxed and comfortable environment. The Golf Club's 84 rooms serve as a special place for a golf retreat or an enclave for the hurried business traveler. The 18-hole Championship Golf Course, newly redesigned and meeting USGA standards, features both tree-lined fairways and the natural look of South Florida, with native plant and animal wildlife. The Championship Golf Course serves as a stern test for the advanced golfer, while allowing the everyday player a fair round. This layout is fairly flat in design but still very interesting. With water on 10 holes and tight fairways that are tree-lined with majestic oaks, cypress, and magnolias, controlled flight on tee shots is imperative. This tract provides a splendid look at the natural everglades view of South Florida. However, simply putting the driver away is not an option, as the length of the course would make the approach shots quite difficult without it. Review © 2007, Wcities |

This beautiful tree-lined 18-hole championship course, with no homes on the fairways, once hosted the Doral Open and Honda Classic qualifying rounds.
