An impressive selection of wines, beers, and liquor make it nearly impossible not to have a drink with your dinner. Along with the standard pizza, pasta, and salads found in just about every Italian restaurant, you can also choose from specials such as the lobster club sandwich. Dim lighting, a mahogany bar, and the sounds of jazz and blues characterize The Globe. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Animal print extravaganza |
900 Ocean Drive Miami, FL 33139 United States +1 305 673 4422 http://www.mangostropicalcafe.... |
This is beachfront dining with a tropical theme. The café menu features island-inspired lunch and dinner entrees as well as average American fare (sandwiches, pizzas, and bar appetizers). The waitstaff is definitely an attraction, sporting skin-tight, leopard-print uniforms. The occasional group dance routine keeps things interesting for diners and passers-by alike. Things really heat up around 9p, when a live band plays upbeat Latin music. It can be hard to maneuver past the businessmen and tourists who come here to down shots and ogle the dancers, so come early. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Nicaraguan delicacies |

If you are a fan of Nicaraguan food (or just can't wait to try it), this is one restaurant you must visit. El Novillo is an exceptionally good addition to the plethora of South American eateries emerging in the Miami area. The decor is suggestive of a hacienda; graceful and inviting. Appetizers are varied such as the Fried Cheese, Nacatamalitos or Ceviche. But definitely save room for an entree. Try the Churrasco or a Pepper Steak in Cream Sauce. Enjoy the live Marimba music on certain days of the week while you sip on your drinks at the bar. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Unique venue with great decorating |
1222 Northeast 2nd Avenue Miami, FL 33132 United States +1 305 373 3511 http://www.thepawnshoplounge.com |
There's always something interesting going on at Miami's latest nightlife venue. Formerly a 1930's pawn shop, this bar/lounge bills itself as Miami's first boutique nightclub. The decor is ever-changing and inspired by post-modern art. Taking Warhol's example to heart, the nightclub has used every day items such as dentist chairs, a school bus, and an airstream trailer in new and inventive ways. One of the best examples of this is an original 727 fuselage anchoring a "mile-high-club" area with 70's style airplane seats. The music policy is eclectic, ranging from rock to house. Live performances are also frequent. Opening night at the lounge featured Paris Hilton performing karaoke...proof that you never know what to expect when you walk into the Pawn Shop. If music be the food of love |
3701 Northeast Second Avenue Design District Miami, FL 33137 United States +1 305 576 1336 http://www.powerstudios.com |

Live music and poetry readings abound here, and it is just the sort of cozy, arty spot that natives claim they can never find in Miami.
