If you are yearning for opulence and splendour, this is definitely not the place. This two-story building was built in 1915. The building was reconstructed and these days, most of it is devoted to Prime 112, a steakhouse. The hotel does not have an ocean view and its second-floor has only nine rooms. On the otherhand, the steakhouse serves almost 500 dinners a night. Oddly enough, it is easier to book a room at the hotel than a table at Prime 112!

This hotel, built by the Diesel Jeans Company, is art deco to the max. Designed by Swedish interior designer Magnus Ehrland, each room is unique and has a wacky name: Psychedelic(ate) Girl - Room 201, Jesus Christ Megastar - Room 313, Best Whorehouse - Room 215. The owners call it kitschy and Fellini-esque. In any case, the hotel has played host to celebrities from Grace Jones to Cindy Crawford. Whenever he is in town, Saudi Arabian Prince Faisal generally stays in the USD2000/night penthouse.
