Best Food & Ambience in Downtown |
68 Flagler St. Miami, FL 33130 United States +1 305 373 4800 http://www.laloggiaristorante.... |
Located across the street from the Court House, La Loggia Ristorante & Lounge is THE place. The fare is classic Italian; the portions are just right. Salads and appetizers can be just what you need for lunch. Try the Insalatta di Rucola (Arugula) which is absolutely superb! Paninis can come on a fresh baguette or a Focaccia; pastas are light and served with pesto, olive oil and garlic sauce or a light tomato sauce. Desserts are classic: Biscotti, Cannoli and Crème Brule among others. The food is impressive, and the Happy Hours very well attended, with a well stocked bar, delicious hors d'oeuvres and live music. More important, this welcoming, upscale bistro is the heart of Miami's Downtown. Even the Miami Downtown Development Authority has high hope for this place. It attracts executives, students, and newcomers to the Downtown area where condos are popping up everywhere. - Mercedes de Marchena Review © 2007, Wcities |

If music be the food of love |
3701 Northeast Second Avenue Design District Miami, FL 33137 United States +1 305 576 1336 http://www.powerstudios.com |
What started out as a giant space to be rented out for shoots, rehearsals, recording, and performances, is now a studio space as well as a restaurant, bar, and lounge with a rooftop terrace and art cinema. Live music and poetry readings abound here, and it is just the sort of cozy, arty spot that natives claim they can never find in Miami. The wood-beamed ceilings, spiral staircase, polished brass, and efficient service make it every bit as hip a locale as any place on South Beach. Review © 2007, Wcities |
