Authentic Chinese goodies |
1232 Northeast 163rd Street Miami, FL 33162 United States +1 305 945 1722 |
Authentic Chinese food in generous portions makes Bamboo Garden a local favorite. A number of menu items are large enough to split between four people; try steamed whole flounder or stir-fried rice noodles with seafood. Ask for the small "Chinese" menu; you will find a variety of regional dishes rarely found in these parts (i.e. kung pao frog legs, beef tripe with preserved mustard greens). The atmosphere is casual and authentic. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Generous portions, extensive menu |
2614 Ponce de Leon Boulevard Miami, FL 33134 United States +1 305 448 3736 |
Canton is quickly becoming the spot to go for all Chinese food cravings. The dining area is huge and rarely fills up during the week but you may find every seat taken on the weekends. Portions are generous, with a full selection of Cantonese, Szechuan, and Mandarin favorites to choose from. Dishes are well flavored with savory sauces. The in-house sushi bar provides an altogether different option, if you are in the mood for something lighter. Entrees cost between USD4 and USD11. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Peruvian-Cantonese cuisine |
12590 North Kendall Drive Miami, FL 33186 United States +1 305 271 3823 |
Even in South Florida, the land of fusion food, Chifa is exotic, serving a unique Peruvian-Cantonese menu. From start to finish, this may be a meal unlike anything you have tried before. Start with asparagus soup or hrimp roll with almonds. You can choose from a dozen different styles of duck, all of which are delicious. A variety of beers (including Peruvian) are available to accompany dinner. The surrounding area is unimpressive at best, but Chifa is certainly a diamond in the rough. Trek through the strip mall and you will be pleased at what you find. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Chinese to go |
1540 Alton Road Miami, FL 33139 United States +1 305 532 8758 |
Tasty Chinese food is served here at very low prices. The menu is not particularly innovative, but it offers all the standard dishes, including Kung Pao Chicken, Egg Foo Young and Chow Mein. Chicken, beef, pork and seafood dishes are available for approximately $5 a pint or $8.50 a quart. Signature items include the Seafood Delight ($12.95) and Pan-Fried Noodles with shrimp, chicken and beef. Combination plates ($7.75) include soup and egg roll. This is intended to be a take-out joint. There are two small tables for inside dining. Review © 2007, Wcities |

All-you-can-eat Chinese |

An overwhelming array of both Chinese and American dishes tempts diners at this Sunny Isles favorite dining spot. The price for the buffet varies from USD7.50 for weekday lunch to USD16.95 for dinner on weekends. Although the restaurant is casual, you should not count on getting a table quickly without a reservation. The place gets quite packed, especially on weekends, a sure sign of the good quality food and service here. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Inexpensive food, great location |
1245 Lincoln Road Miami, FL 33139 United States +1 305 672 8822 |
Although ambience is practically nonexistent here, that does not seem to deter the crowds of people looking for a hearty Chinese meal at a reasonable price. A la Carte tofu, chicken, pork, and beef dishes run from USD8.95-11.50. A good way to save money is by ordering a combination platter, which includes an entree, appetizer, soup, and rice. Combination platters cost an average of USD8.95 at dinner and USD5.95 at lunch. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Excellent food, low prices |
16752 North Miami Avenue Miami, FL 33169 United States +1 305 653 3377 |
Seafood and vegetarian entrees (most under $10) outnumber the poultry, beef, and pork options on both Vietnamese and Chinese menus. Want to try pig's feet or ears? How about jellyfish or snails? You will find all those items on the menu as well. Exceptional appetizers and soups ($5-$7) come in portions large enough to share. The Vietnamese spring rolls ($3) are also excellent, as are the hu tieu nam vang soup and the crab stir-fry. This neighborhood restaurant seats about 85 in a comfortable, casual setting. Asian fare |

Make your way to the red and gold dining room at Miami Beach and you might just find yourself wondering whether you have reached some place in Asia. The large hand-painted lanterns, giant kites with the red-tassels and the generous presence of bamboo and red, gold and white hues create a very archetypal ambience. Order the Curry Coconut Chicken, served in a hot clay pot, which is one of the favorites among patrons. There are also Asian beers and cocktails like the Lychee-tini on offer. Watch out while ordering, this can become a pricy affair. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Quick food, low prices |
19695 Northwest Second Avenue Miami, FL 33169 United States +1 305 652 3602 |
Do not bypass this funky little restaurant; there are definitely some nice things about it (as the name suggests). Place your order at the counter and relax. A Chinese/Jamaican menu makes for a wide range of choices. Beef and Lobster Patties are delicious, as is the very spicy Curry Chicken. Be forewarned, this is not for the sensitive palate. Most of the food is authentically spicy, and may leave your mouth burning. The prices are a bargain indeed; a full meal costs around USD7. Cash only. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Attractive decor, innovative cuisine |
3176 Commodore Plaza Miami, FL 33133-5818 United States +1 305 529 9998 |
Centrally located and charmingly decorated, this little Chinese restaurant covers all the basics and then some. While the menu offers many standard Chinese dishes, the specialty items are truly unique. Cuisine is creative and flavorful. One signature item is the Rice in Lotus Leaves, filled with Shredded Duck, Chicken, and Ham and cooked in a Bamboo Steamer. The restaurant is in a plaza about two blocks from the most hectic part of downtown Coconut Grove. The interior features a pretty floral motif and a large aquarium. Review © 2007, Wcities |
